Families, neighbors, and kids visited the Coopersdale Community Room to learn about the West End Choice Neighborhood Plan. They shared their thoughts on how to improve the area while enjoying free food, meeting the project team, and entered a raffle to win a gift card. Steering Committee members met at Coopersdale Community to know more about the planning process for the West End. Residents from the West End helped kickstart the summer at Coopersdale Community on June 11th to describe the neighborhood’s challenges. East Larimer Neighborhood Field Trip
The Johnstown Housing Authority (JHA) and Steering Committee traveled to Pittsburgh to tour the Larimer/East Liberty Choice Neighborhoods site. The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh welcomed the JHA team and shared their experience in the planning and redevelopment of the Larimer and East Liberty communities. Reimagining the West End Workshop
Youth and parents gathered at Coopersdale Community to help with planning and designing the West End as part of the Choice Neighborhoods (CN) plan. The event was filled with activities that used visuals, maps, and different types of modeling to create a vision for how the community could be revitalized. Find out how residents envision a better neighborhood.

Identifying the Early Action Project
The Steering Committee and project team gathered virtually to discuss potential Early Action projects that could help revitalize Coopersdale Community. Together, they explored what ideas could best serve the area and how organizations could help with implementing them. This could be public art, a community garden, or farmstand.
